i did a google search on your question yesterday.. came up with tons of reports. suggest you search google and get lots of reading material for the weekend. I read a few and found conflicts in one report vs another so did not clip and post.

Sort of like an eruv in Jewish law.

People who grow up Catholic, like people who grow up Jewish, develop an affinity for legalisms that is conducive to becoming lawyers.

I mean, there are actually canon lawyers! Who interpret the Code of Canon Law.

What other religion has a codified book of law, and lawyers who specialize in that law?
