So you're saying that I should be embarrassed that a Republican President would take the most qualified person to fill a job - even if it means that the man who runs his campaign is gay, or that his Secretary of State might be a spinster, or pssst... a black lesbian? The fact that American Spirit keeps on mentioning that Karl Rove is gay, clearly means that AS is using "gay" as an insult. And fact is, AS stooped so low as to quote from neo-nazi sources to throw the insult. It would be no different than repeatedly saying that someone is hiding their Jewish heritage or having a hidden black grandparent - and using it as an attack. Are you defending that?
