Strange I hadn't noticed. I use a mirror every day. Which prompts me to ask "Which Liberals ?". Your generalisation is so obviously wrong that it leads me to doubt your sincerity. I'll be charitable and call it empty poetic license.

I am not interested in labels. I see the over-riding danger for Canada as, not separation, but fragmentation (literal). I committed the same error as you do when I accused Conservatives as being allied to Neo-Cons and in favour of war. I should have said which conservatives, but they include Harper and certain contributors to this thread. Is this an "issue of substance" ? It sure is in my mind and I am a voter.

I recall in the last election how the Bloc said loud and clear that Separation was not an issue in the election. But when they did so well in the polling, their political leader said immediately, "This result certainly opens the issue of separation again". I would expect the same kind of duplicity from Harper. Not worth the risk for this voter.

i think any bunch that so gliberally promotes themselves as the Natural Governing Party has got to go, real soon, they're not humble anymore

So why be humble when you are the elite political and economic class of Canada? The Gomry Commission into the $100 million dollar Adscam is yet another example of a masterful Liberal red herring to detract from much larger issues and potential image problems.

What about $1 billion "misplaced" in failing to track land claim settlements through Indian Affairs?

Remember the $1 billion HRDC scandal?

What about the $2 billion gun registry? Half of that would buy at Canadian Tire 21 million trigger locks, 21 million long-gun cases and 7 million lockable gun cabinets. The other half would run the courts in Canada for a year with enough left over to buy 20 new MRI machines for hospitals accross Canada.

On a more serious note, I can't imagine how large the consulting and legal fees must have been for the gun registry. Who were they paid too? $2 billion seems excessive to design and implement software and management systems for a national gun registry. Maybe this is why Landslide Annie is the deputy prime minister? Maybe Paul Martin is holding what might be the most damaging closest to himself?

As for the next election, district election officials are Liberal and so are the companies that print the ballots. The Liberal Party invented ballot box stuffing and passed the election laws. There is far too much money at stake to lose power, even for one term. I predict a majority Liberal government.
