That's called two-tier by those who oppose it, and is deadly to any party who suggests it, political suicide, they might as well suggest universal conscription to the military at the same time, and be done with it, then spend a long time watching others govern

But i know what you mean ... on the principles, it is not the place of the state to tell me i can't start up a healthcare service, or deal with my neighbour who starts one

On the reality of it today, this last year we've had a fair bit to do with healthcare, having a kid and all, and i was impressed with how well it all worked, after hearing so many stories ... and i believe we pay considerably less for healthcare than do our most commonly mentioned comparable, both on per capita basis and on percentage of GDP .... in any case, it's another area where principle meets reality and loses, for the sake of compromise, that's just the way it is

Another is the dole/pogey structure, they simply will not permit you to starve in this country ... mandatory tax-paid education, too, they will not let you raise your kids ignorant, or at least ignorant in ways they do not approve ... it's not right in a way, but what choice do we have, when the custom is to have the ballot papers be just one page -g- ... salut, paisano [du jour]

But Claude we have private health care... but isn't just that it's supposed to be reserved for rich elitist hypocrites like those whose initials match the initials of Prime Minister... :o)
