Your summary is pretty good. Intel made 4.3 B net profit in the last two quarters and the momentum is there. The competition "made" -46M over the last two quarters and their momentum is in full swing too.
The anal-cysts now say that the only thing AMD has to do is sell flash business. It will guarantee prosperity...
What a wonderful idea. They still neglect that having a business model is an important consideration even for miracles like AMD.

I think the semi equips might be the right play now if you believe in a tech stock recovery. They are cheap, a lot of them anyway. Unfortunately I don't know the business of semi equips too well.
