He has a very interesting way of adding his comments into news stories. Nowhere does it say that bush lied but he plugs it in an attempt to deceive. Ken would have kicked his sorry ass out of here long ago for doing this. Sly is well known hater and leftwing extremist on SI and IHUB. Unfortunately for us he landed here. Story he references is and interesting one. Mike

Yup. Certain moron stupid idiots hear what they want to hear. Lies and all. And that describes the republican party and their supporters to perfection.

Sy and his crowd are working on the theory that Bush et al were so bent on war with Iraq that they deliberately picked as their chief reason something they knew was a lie, so it could blow up in their faces and make them look like idiots the moment American troops entered Iraq. This is their reasoning.

Even if you believe that Bush is utterly Machievellian, this just makes no sense at all. Bush could have stressed Saddam's support of terrorists, his flouting of UN resolutions, his starving of the Iraqi people or the hundreds of thousands of dead in mass graves. He didn't have to pick on WMDs.
