QCOM owns the IP for a wireless communications protocol. The replacement protocols are known and moving down the pike. SNDK owns some IP for non-volatile memory. There are conjectures about replacements for NAND Flash, but these are far less certain than the development of wireless protocols.

I am not following the QCOM thread.
