There are 68,000 condos permitted to BE built in a 50 block area of Miami.

Wonderful...<ng> I wonder if they will all get built.

RE:"They gave the impression that downtown Miami was a vibrant place. I remember it as a bit of a hellhole."

Well, when you go to a heat game and walk a short while to the area you get panhandled by the homeless and possible offered "good stuff". Sections still aren't too good to say the least.

re: There were towers every where. They gave the impression that downtown Miami was a vibrant place. I remember it as a bit of a hellhole.

It's a bit of both. Here on the west coast things are less cool but more stable. Although Trump is building a condo highrise in downtown Tampa... a sure sign of things going downhill.

Crime where McMannis lives is unbelievable... over here, I feel like it's the safest place I've ever lived.
