Whose more important for the republicans in the next election John? The religious right who will always vote for the more traditional and conservative party anyway (albeit with less enthusiasm at times) or the collective me. I define ME as folks who couldnt vote for kerry because of (1) the flipflopping intellectual dishonesty of kerry and (2) bush was more acceptable to us than he is now.
How many of MEs are out there? What does it require to keep ME in the tent? Will Rudy as Veep do it? Stem cells? Fire Rummy for poor ops results? Super supply side model not at all what reagonomics was all about. Anyone remember about controlling spending and the value of a strong dollar?
The future of the republican party hinges on this choice you folks will make. I may be wrong about this but i think the country is moving to a more moderate position again on the religious issues, some social issues, domestic issues, fp. ME dont want Dean but ME dont want Frist either. No doctors in the (white) house please. No more DeLay either or Bolton or standoffs in the senate and that applies to dems as well. ME
