i do not see anything different in bush since i voted for him ( he is stronger more secure). In fact he has been stand fast on Iraq while democrats what to cut and run. Now we have syria pulling out , it appears bush and Rumsfeld have done more for security and peace in our nation than many other presidents. I give bush adm full credit for avoiding recession during war time. He is trying now to cut the budget but its congress who are greedy and are stuffing themselves with pork projects. It will be congress who will fight the base closings. It has been congress who has not acted on an energy bill that bush put up three years ago. I do not look at bush as far right. I look to him to be more moderate and of course he needs to make sure he supported religious right and i assume he believes in most of the issues. It was church groups that got him elected this time. imo I expect a democrat candidate will stay away from gay marriage, late term abortion, and support religious practices at some point in public areas , if only private worship. If not we are back to the middle in this fight and it will be jobs, economy, and if one party or the other obstruct progress in congress. this may be the vote that clears out those congressmen like it did a decade or two ago. People got so upset over congress not doing anything they tried to vote them out. My votes would be against anyone who is standing in the way of dealing with social soc. and judges up or down. I will go to the poles and vote against them. I will do the same for congressmen who are not cutting the budget and approve pork projects. But then i hold the right to change my mind by Thursday am. Bolton has my vote. I think he is what we need in united nations. I have a problem with Powell whom i supported but now feel he is wrong . He is out of the state department but is staying in the washington game. this is wrong on Powell's part imo. What is problem with delay that 50 other congressmen have not done? He has gotten a lot through the house and i give him credit. If ethics find something wrong then he will go but until then it is just a smear against him. i hope rudy runs , mccain runs, i do not think either one will win the support. Hagel forget him along with Fresh. I can't see either one getting many votes.
