The Govt makes so many friggin mistakes that they can never ever be trusted with something like that ever. Looks like the identity theft of the future will be impossible to correct. RFID, no friggin way. They will use that to extort false witnesses against others such as, "we have noticed on RFID that you have been frequenting gay night clubs", so we won't release that information to the media if you serve as a false witness against Mr. X". This is George Orwell's 1984 all the way. Or how about this scenario, the RFID has tracked Mr. X to an apartment in Chicago and he is wanted for a thought crime. So the police raid the apartment with sub machine guns think they see a gun and starting blasting away only to find out his girlfriend was holding his ID card.
