Isolationism is policy based on the belief that we can act in isolation from the interests of others.

No isolationism is policy designed to isolate yourself from the rest of the world in many areas. It is not disagreement about policy ideas, or differing interests, even if you are in a small minority (even a minority of one) in having these interests or policies.

Why do you seek out these arguments over word meanings? They contribute nothing. Bush policy is not isolationist in any sense of the word. Stick with the unilateral. At least you have an argument there. Buchanan is an isolationist of sorts. Bush is an internationalist who doesnt agree with many nations who agree with you more. mike
