Yes, they have died to protect our national security. And they were sent there for justifiable & legitimate reasons. That's a fact. Every one of them are heroes! Our freedom has never come cheaply or easily. It has come at a severe cost of blood & treasure. It's a damned shame that some folks have shamed themselves & placed our national security at risk purely for political gain with their vicious lies & deceit while our soldiers are in harms way. A damned shame indeed.
