Post cold war its pretty hard to defend the weapon system acquisition part of the defense budget. We still need lots of troops but not the aircraft at 125 million a copy or submarines at 3 billion a copy.

Yea why should I pay a higher tax rate being a meager middle class person than the truely rich who don't work jobs at all and have all that idle income. At least Bush actually mentioned the words captial gains and dividends when the tax cuts were given. I've never ever heard Clinton or Kerry ever even mention the words..instead they just said "anybody making over $100,000 a year was "rich"". That tells me that Clinton and Kerry never ever intended to REALLY tax the idle rich. Somebody working a JOB at $100,000 with a family as say a good dentist isn't rich at all.
