Gore has already removed himself from consideration. I take him at his word. He is too busy building his cable channel. Jeb Bush, who would be the odds on favorite for the GOP nomination if he had a different last name, has also taken himself out of consideration for 2008. He wants to get away from politics and decompress. I can't say that I blame him. If the Democrats take back the presidency in 2008, he will lead the pack for the 2012 GOP nomination. Frist leaves the Senate next year and will lose his platform. That may actually be a plus for him but I personally think that he is too wooden to get the nomination. The GOP field will not start to shape up until after the midterm elections. I have a personal favorite, but I am going to remain mute until early 2007.
