If you search Google News, you find two things. One is a group of articles bashing the Times for leaving it out. The other is a group of articles reporting that CBS reported that the satellite had determined that the car was going fast. CBS has nothing to say about any satellite evidence. The only other info I found was this bit:

The Americans maintain that soldiers fired warning shots in the air, then shot at the engine block because the car was speeding.
