The satirical site, ScrappleFace, just got me to thinking about Senator Kerry’s “plan” to save Social Security. Supposedly, it involved no tax increases and no benefit cuts and was vastly superior to anything the Republicans wanted. So why not advance it now? If it was so wonderful why not, at least, tell us all about it? After all, he’s still a US Senator and if the plan was anything like what he described wouldn’t it be a major boost to any 2008 Presidential run? Or was it all smoke and mirrors? scrappleface.com
