Many rightwing extremists are in charge of our most deadly weapons. You may have read the other day that in the Air Force evangelical Christians (many who believe in doomsday and Armageddon and look forward to it) are bullying anyone in the AF who doesn't share their extremist brand of religion. So what if an Air Force General, who believes the world can only be saved after it is first destroyed has his finger on the trigger of a nuke? Don't tell me this cannot happen. And we worry about Al Qaida. Yes they are scary too but -- remember Oklahoma City. What if Timothy McVeigh had been in charge of security for one of our chemical weapons labs.
