There are plenty of companies out there that fit your description, but typically those that do care for their customers, their employees, and their shareholders are among the most successful.

Case in point: Starbucks. Even citizens of the PRC enjoy going to Starbucks. I'll never forget the protests in front of the American embassy back in 1999, where the protesters stopped by Starbucks to get a cup of coffee before denouncing the "fascist" American government.


I don't disagree with you. There are good corporations....in fact, this morning I was reading Duke Energy's latest report and the CEO was pushing for conservation and carbon tax to encourage clean fuel.........and he's a CEO of an energy company. I wish that the Duke's and the Starbucks and the Microsofts were the standards but they are not. There are way more corps. that are only concerned with their bottom line and they could care less if their actions are good for the community in which they are located or even the US.
