Energyplay, You're not buying the rally idea are you? If the GM business doesn't cause a real smash up that is a sign of strength, you think? I'm remembering your post about the mutual fund inflows this week. Do you pay any attention to numbers like the 1164 "can't break" number on the S&P?

I talked to a good friend yesterday who owns two used car lots in N Georgia. Nice lots in good location in a town that is as prosperous as any in the South with strong local manufacturing industry and a big local housing boom. One lot is cars, the other trucks, mostly for contractors; nice stuff, no junk. He says business is as slow as he has ever seen it. He spends lots of time at the auto auctions and visiting all his buddies in the body shop business and he says they all say the same, thats its nearly a depression.

His buddy who is a big real estate operator there tells him that real estate is a "bubble" like the stock market was and is about to pop.
