"Gold and Economic Freedom", by Alan Greenspan, originally appeared in a newsletter, "The Objectivist", published in 1966 and was reprinted in Ayn Rand's "Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal". There are apparantly 668 websites which contain this essay, according to Google. google.com Quixotic Congressman Ron Paul recently read a passage and asked Alan Greenspan if he recognized the text. Greenspan said of course he recognized it as he had written it, and he had since realized he was wrong and had changed his mind. This realization no doubt dawned on him shortly after becoming guardian of the nation's money printing press. .
