That's right, and what was the Kerry camp's first clue? Maybe it was the smears of McCain and Cleland...huh?

So why lean heavy on what happened 30 years ago, especially when you know that's where they will attack you?

All I'm saying is that Kerry should have stayed on message...the Iraq war and what to do about it, Health care, education, jobs, energy...instead he has this big to do on stage with his boatmates from 30 years ago.

Sure you can bring your military career into the mix, but it should have been a minor part of the campaign. It would have been far more effective to have the boatmates defend against the smears after the attack by smearvets...not the otherway around.

This while staying on message on today's problems and your (Kerry's) solutions.

This is campaign strategy number one...stay on message. Even the Chimp knows that much about a campaign.
