The problems of this country are great. The depth of them was shown by how quickly Democrats abandoned their posture of cooperation after 9/11. People on the left mislabel Authoritarian Liberalism as political correctness. Pc implies that denying a person their rights because someone said that it might offend someone else is ok and a good thing. The real facts are that some people have appointed themselves authorities. They wish to tell us what we can do and say. Some in the religious community have adopted this position. It is far more prevalent in the anti-religious community. The ACLU is trying to remove virtually every religious image from our public lives. Our society was founded by Christians fleeing people like this. Our laws were based on the laws handed down by Moses. You cannot expunge religion from our lives without removing the foundation of our society. PS - You are fortunate to find someone on SI that can engage in debate without name calling. It is even more rare on this subject.
