I agree completely.

I also think that the public should not be under-estimated so.

If spoken to directly, and truthfully, without tricks and deception... the public would be far more likely to support change.

(For example: the administration's use of TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GROWTH PROJECTIONS in their roadshow to sell SS privatization is NOT a helpful tactic.)

The politicians in Washington who have ALREADY DECIDED AMONG THEMSELVES (see the announcements from the President's panel on tax reform) that NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL or 'RADICAL' (such as real and comprehensive tax reform, eliminating the plethora of special interest loopholes, slashing rates & or moving to a flat rate system or consumption tax, taxing ALL INCOME at the same rate regardless of source, etc.) can pass... so nothing substantial should even be attempted... should all be tossed out on their ears.

They sell the American people short.
