CSFB has an "Outperform" rating on DELL. Based on the earnings report of yesterday, here is a summary of the CSFB "take" on the company.

<<• Outlook. As Dell progresses to its longer-term revenue target of $80 billion, the company appears to be delivering solid execution in its expanding complimentary segments, which are expected to drive much of the growth. Additionally, we believe near-term disruptions at key competitors HP and IBM, combined with a favorable component cost environment, should enable Dell to accelerate market share gains in its core PC business.

• Safe Haven. As industry growth slows, we believe investors should position themselves with attractively valued companies that will deliver superior growth and profitability. With Dell’s shares trading at 23x our CY05 EPS of $1.61, we believe it fits this description. Furthermore, we would use Dell’s strong quarter as a buying opportunity, as we believe the remainder of the year bodes well for Dell, and expect the stock to reach our $45 price target (24x FY07 EPS of $1.89) by year-end.>>
