They need to get control of their party back from the Robertsons/Dobsons/Reed freak show. They must know that the GOP is becoming the laughing stock of the world: - museums where people are saddling up and riding dinosaurs - creationism replaces science - insistence that the world is 6,000 years old - rampant perversion kept mostly out of sight - Jesus as a fashion statement It's embarrassing. Americans have always seemed provincial to the rest of the industrialized world but now we just look like a carnival freak show.
