"""Curiously, as of May 13 the two have an almost identical price and yield: QCOM is $35.30/share and yields 1.02%, NEM is $35.31/share and yields 1.13%."""

Just add some more comparisons. i.e. current revenue, PE ratio, future PE ratio, furtue revenue growth, cash on hand, debts on hand.......

QCOM kicks NEM any day. Do not forget Jay's famous sentences something like "Gold is forever". Then he sold NEM and forgot to impress us by shorting NEM at the time to claim the real victory today. :-)
