I am certain this is a bear market until we get better leadership out of washington. The good news is that most of the hugely expensive fiscal proposals the govt is putting forth are dead in the water, due to lack of support. Social security for example, I was always in favor of reforming that, but not by this guy. We already saw how govt "fixed" the prescription drug problem. Social security was supposed to be in crisis at the tune of 200 billion in 2040. Well, we just spent that on Iraq! Why don't we just stop creating wars and these "crises" will just go away. Anyway in 2008 will probably be a good time to buy stocks esp growth stocks, trading range until then imho.

Amy

When you consider the quality of the people who ran against him it's easier to understand.

Amy, RE: When did stupidity become popular?

Bush is a horrid president, IMO, but when you start thinking that he's stupid you have fallen in the same trap that Bush's opponents did.

Bush isn't stupid. On average, the education level of the people who voted for him is no different than that of the people that voted for Kerry. Stupidity isn't part of the equation.
