I just recently learned what "peak oil" was within the last 2 months, and I'm a political wonkabe. I learned them from you. The frustration we are all facing here with the proven scams and potentially devastating future being almost totally ignored by the MSM have the possibilty of encouraging us to just give up. Rove & Co. are pulling so many frauds on us so rapidly it's hard to reveal them in an effective way to our nation's grownups. Recently the emergence of Blogs beginning to replace the network news as popular sources of pertinent facts, along with The Daily Show's weekly coverage of the main 6 or 10 major domestic issues remind me that there are no more Woodward and Bernsteins around the big newspapers anymore. They are stifled by their owners who have been swallowed up by G.E., Murdoch, and other conglomerates whose selfish economic goals trump any major frauds that are slapping us in our faces on a daily basis. Newsweek, one of the few 10 or so real investigative print medias now are under fire for releasing a story (most likely true BTW) about Gitmo's modis operandis of humiliation of detainees. The average intelligence of posters here about the world we live in must ceratinly be in the smallest minority of air-breathers on our Big Blue Marble. And so it goes.... Sioux
