I doubt an ordinary illiterate Pakistani peasant understands much about America. Peasantry and illiteracy don't tend to produce understanding of foreign countries; rather, they tend to produce ignorance.


It seems to me that the abuses at abu Graib and Gitmo, and in Afghanistan undermine your theory that education breeds understanding.
