No problem with equal treatment under the law, I just believe that "Marriage, the word" is for man and woman , really for the benefit of raising children. I think a new word should be used for civil union type, I suggest carriage or garriage. Now I've been married for 36 years, raised 2 kids, one to marry soon, a move up from her status of common law. I think the marriage of a man and woman is something very special. Let two men be joined in garriage, two women in larriage, or both lots in carriage, civil union marriage. Let it be answered by a referendum vote.
