Would you say that a lot of investors/analysts expected this type of result and the guidance from AMAT? That is what I am trying to figure out. The Goldman Sachs analyst was saying get out before earnings yesterday.
Will there be those that say, we are close to a bottom and the buying of the sector should commence right now (talking about big funds that take a long time to accumulate).

As for the sellers, if you have already taken the pain of the past few months, why bail out now.

That is what leads me to believe that buying the morning drop is a good idea (assume we get one)...or is it way too early.
