Actually, there are vegan fertilizers! A lot of them seem to be for garden use. I think it would take a lot of bat guano to feed Ish's soybean fields. I am not an expert on fertilizers, of course, but this kelp fertilizer is available in large quantities and the manufacturer says it is appropriate for farm use:
