Re sharons visit. He did have every right to go however it is my belief that he knew that his visit would precipitate a violent response, albeit less than Infitada 2. It was a cheap political move. Having said that, the I2 probably would have happened anyway as barak was doomed because of the extreme distance he went for a peace that in the end proved not to be enough for arafat. Mike

Nadine, I did not say the two things were equivalent. What you need to ask yourself is this:

1) What was Sharon's purpose in that temple mount trek?

2) Why is his own government currently actively preventing a repeat of it?
