My point was not that I expected Hillary to run on her true, far more liberal, convictions. My point was that it makes good sense for all the Dem candidates to position themselves as moderates, but only she has the sense and discipline to actually do it.

He tried being a moderate until he got stepped on. Remember the "no child left behind"? Kennedy was supposed to be the education expert so Bush let Kennedy's office write the legislation, backed it and signed it. Ever since Kennedy has been saying that Bush's no child left behind is a failure.

BTW, even Clinton has been saying he supports Bush's war in Iraq.
