The idiot blind followers of the right will think whatever they are told to think.

The rest of us will know the truth: that the right puts their agenda above the constitution of the United States. They think they know better than the framers of the constitution about how a country should be run. "To hell with separation of powers". Bush said it well himself. "It would be a lot easier if we were a dictatorship, just so long as I'm the dictator". That's a loose quote, but the meaning is the same.

Why not just take the proposed change to the Senate Parlimentarian --- a nice, solid Republican... hand-picked for the post by Tom DeLay --- and ask for an official ruling??????????

Why do they propose an end run around the Parlimentarian, asking Cheney to 'rule' if the change is 'in order'???????

Could it be that they are AFRAID that the official Senate Parlimentarian would rule that it takes 67 votes to change the Senate rules... (not 51 like Cheney is expected to 'rule')?

I guess it's like some little kid on a playground: when you don't like the rules, cheat.
