Thanks for the post. I think I must be somewhat confused...are you saying that you have never seen a stock continue to push RSIs of 90+ for days (and possibly several weeks) at a time, where they're driven by market hysteria and news associated with the given company?

I understand that there is typically a cyclical move in technical indicators from overbought to oversold conditions, however I was trying to point out that there is an exception to the rule at times (where a security can stay in the extremely overbought state for a substantial length of time and cause a substantial loss in a short position).
