I comfortable with people choosing to be themselves anyway. In fact, it's the essence of my philosophy that everyone should do their own thinking. I just have a problem with people who try to be different for the sole purpose of provoking a response from mainstream people who would otherwise just ignore them. I don't see any point in being weird just for its own sake. It adds no value to the person. Behavior and deeds, choices and choices make the person. Weird dress and makeup serve only to provoke and have no value of themselves.

Nobody should stomp on anybody else. However, if a person dressed as a goth (or whatever weird getup) comes at me aggressively, I reserve the right to defend myself. Same goes for somebody in blue jeans coming at me aggressively. If I defend against a goth, that does not make me a bigot. It just makes him a goth. (substitute your favorite weird getup if goth isn't your game).
