i could never figure out how someone could have just a few cigs when out drinking and not smoke any other time.

OK, I'm going put in my 2¢.....

I "stopped" smoking 1-28-87,,,,,,,I announced to family, friends and the world
of my intentions on, "1-28-86"..........Notice I said I "stopped" smoking, I never
said I "QUIT"....and I did "STOP" on that date, for over 10 years, never smoked
once..I just did it cold turkey, never had a withdrawal problem...Don't really
know why, other than the fact I announced what I was going to do a year ahead,
and some psychological factor about "stopping" vs "quitting"..

To make a long story shorter....every now & then I choose to "Lite Up" and have
never had a problem with getting "hooked" again..I smoke OP's, bum, or mooch them and never bought cigs since I "stopped"...nada-zip-zilch..

Not really for sure to this day why this worked for me!!! Just that it did............

Mike

P.S. this generally "ONLY" happens in a Bar or Party situation..
