Really, care to site the law? Be glad to........ The basis for impeachment comes from the US Constitution. Article II, Sec. 4 states that: "The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors." impeachbush.tv And of course that question only becomes important if you assume the "they lied in order to start a war part" is correct which I do not. With the latest exposure of pre war memoranda, its clear Bush looked for any excuse to start the war and chose to present intelligence in a way that made his case. If this Congress were not badly corrupted and ruled by the GOP, impeachment proceedings would have begun by now. If you were not ruled by partisan politics, you would also recognize that Iraq is a disaster.
