But then. Just need another presidential election cycle. Or two?

The way the right is shooting themselves in the foot, who knows? My hope is base on the fact that as poor as I think the Republican candidates for Prez are, I think the Dem candidates are even worse.

Not much to look foward too. Oh, for an "Eagle" Govenrnor in California that was electable to Prez!

Hi John, good to see you haven't lost your sense of humor. :-)

Speaking of economics; just re-learned the most profound change taking place in economics the world over tonight.

I stopped by a couple of stores in Italy to buy a Clarinet for my son to practice with over the summer recess (500-800 euros). On a whim decided to check online and see if anything decent was available (after all he will probably quit playing the darn thing in a couple of years like most of us did). Searched a few of the main websites for musical instruments, found a few, 600-800 bucks American. Then I hit ebay and bought a brand new one for 69.00 bucks including hard and soft case! Ok, 94 counting shipping fees.

Those who think they can escape the economic impact of the internet better think again and again!

Lesson learned; Parents search for value.

I'll bet just about everyone of us can relay a similar story. Amazingly, some economists still wonder why inflation hasn't reared its ugly head. Someone should show Krugman how to use windows and visit Ebay.

Had to get that dig in somewhere. :-)
