John please name the welfare programs that no longer exist.

reminds of back in 60's when i got offer to take over a computer operation training program , dudley sq. roxbury ma. federal minority training. the head got a job in washington through Tip however required he find his own replacement. I expressed concern over funds running out.

The response was don't worry as program funds run out or program is to shut down we begin a new program and everyone gets salary upgrades. I was told do this job for a year or so and then plan on replacing him in Washington.

the kicker was i could make as much money as i wanted on weekends consulting for gov at other locations installing the program. Since, Dudley Sq. was first program he would fly to other places, bill all expenses to their project and charge $200. for each day. A lot of money in mid sixties.

I kind of felt that was like stealing people's money. I asked what do you do as consultant ,, nothing was the response they got everything handled. So i turned down the job and became even more conservative in my ideas and voted republican most times.

thinking back now maybe that wasn't such a smart move. g

Not hard to do. The ones who support all those ol retired military farts in Idaho/Wyoming/Montana, wherever you live, those are going great guns. The rest are on their way off the books. At least if the Bush folk have their way.

But you already knew that, didn't you.
