The Pentagon, as I think you know perfectly well, was in a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation.

So are the media.

I was intrigued with Kopel's reading the names of fallen troops this year. Last year it was an outrage. This year it's appropriate. In either case, the dead were/are dead and I was/am sad about the loss and thought/think that the demonstration was/is a fine display of respect.
