Tibet is not a good analogy for Palestine, it is tucked away in mountains, far from being the central crossroads that is the land bridge between the two halves of the arab world ... there are also no hundreds of millions of tibetan speaking correligionists surrounding it, with buckets of oil money, and Tibet is not considered holy to three major branches of religious whackismo ... another thing, chicoms greatly outnumber zionists ... so they'll get away with it, quite wrongly ... in any case, whether they do or not, this would not justify the robbing of natives in Palestine

The british weren't robbing indigenous turkomen civilian non-combatants in Trans-jordan, they were replacing the ottoman empire administration ... which had pretty much fallen apart by 1917 anyway, Allenby just finished them off, they say the army was the only thing left that functioned ... the brits looked around for suitable local rulers, which is the way they governed everywhere, and the hashemites appeared to them the best choice ... democracy was out of the question as the people were in no way ready for it, or so they thought, remember this was the twenties ... could they have made a better choice - perhaps, though it is hard to see how, in any case none of this justifies the robbing and killing of native civilians in Palestine

Yes i know you agree with me on Excludostaats being a bad idea, we talked about this years ago, and you say so recently, in re the kurds if memory serves ... it's always a bad idea, even the euros have figured this out now, except for some of the Balkans where the concept still causes trouble ... every nation has its pointy-headed moron contingent who will never accept a more healthy civic form of nationalism, but as long as they're reduced to a small minority and periodically given a good swift kick in the teeth they shouldn't be a problem to the rest of us

'But I don't see any reason to compound the problems of that region by trying to create a exclusionary Palestinian state which denies anyone who isn't Palestinian (muslim?) from residing there.'

Neither do i, palestinians also should be encouraged to loosen up, imho ... one way to start them on the road to that is to provide them with security from zionist invasion, with which they have been struggling for over eighty years now ... restoring their looted property, recognising their right to electoral franchise, stopping this demented business of denying them access to their own homes, these things would help

The name 'Palestine' refers to the whole country, from the Med to the Jordan, bounded on the north by Lebanon, on the south by the egyptian desert ... this is the country of the palestinian, as Ben Gurion pointed out, there is not now a settlement where there had not previously been a palestinian village ... Ben Gurion was polish, his real name was Green, did you know that ... Dave Green, doesn't sound like the name of a guy who would run an ethnic cleansing operation, does it

'At least with Israel, 1/5 of the population is non-Jewish, with full voting rights.'

And how long would they have any rights, or have their property or their lives, were they to increase to 2/5 or beyond ... not long at all, and you know it, the only reason these people weren't wiped out along with the rest is that zionists made the calculation that they didn't have that much political capital to spend at the time ... so these people are permitted to survive, as long as they are a minority in their own homeland, and far more natives are being robbed

The apartheid 'two-state' solution with natives cooped up in little bantustans separated from each other and from their own homes and farms by walls and barbwire fences and machineguns, and the whole place under absolute zionist military control, is not ever going to work ... it's two Excludostaats or one Menschenstaat, the latter is the only functional concept, one state comprising all of Palestine, in which ethnicity is not the determining factor for citizenship

Not overnight, of course, first the idea has to circulate, there is lots to think about on how to get from the present situation to this one ... the human rights of every non-criminal present must be respected, everybody must be assured as to their security, this might be aided by a temporary police force from neutral nations ... promotion of hatred must be made a crime and punished severely, setting up a camp for mad priests in the desert would help with that, make a few examples of where racist preaching will get you ... but first the idea has to get out and about, to eventually get onto a negotiating table
