We have all heard at length what is happening nowadays. The question is, apart from campaigning for a Democrat to win a 50.000001% "victory" in 2008, what can be done apart from saying the other party has to change? What can independents do to improve the quality of debate and the focus on real issues instead of partisan sniping? Those are the issues that interest me more now.... PS I have voted for both parties in the past and would have an open mind in 2008, depending on which side puts up a credible moderate I could live with.
