Glad to hear that you are enjoying your MCE experience. I use mine predominately for recording over the air HDTV, with which it does an excellent job (provided you have a good antennae). IMO, TiVo continues to be "more elegant" in some ways, but less elegant in others. After using my TiVo-DirecTV combo box for 4 years or so, I do not miss it at all (and I certainly don't miss paying the combined $60/mo bill I used to send directv).

i haven't even bothered getting an HD-capable tuner card for my PC, even though MCE 05 supports them, as this seems a little too bleeding edge for me. i will wait a couple years and get one for fifty bucks in a new Dell running Longhorn SP2.

FYI, you can get such a card for $77 now... It's well worth it if you are willing to hook up your PC to an HDTV.
