There are still a large percentage of folk out there that can't get the clock to stop blinking on their VCRs. TiVo will work for most of these folks, but anything more complicated will not.

Computer, cards, extenders ... never will be mainstream. Enthusiasts surely, but even microsoft offers Ultimate TV for the rest of the world.

One other point... my MCE computer "got" a virus over the weekend... I spent at least 12 hours trying to get it back to functional, finally gave up and turned it over to a pro and it will take at least a couple more days to get back.

My TV and TiVo, meanwhile, are working fine.
