caring about American interests isn't one of them

I'm going to stretch a bit here and use the w-word. I think you go to far to say that and it is w-w-w-wrong. <g> Just because they don't see America's interests the same way you do doesn't mean they don't care about them.

The question that occurs to me is, does the MSM as a whole have any clue of the gulf that exists between them and most of their viewers?

I'm going to respond to this in the context of our discussion, which was about Smartland and those who are incensed by it.

I probed a bit earlier about the scope of Smartland but you passed on that. I'm going to now address the scope of the opposition, the Anti-Smarts. How can we know how many people there out there who are outraged as are you and others here and who they are? The only useful indicator I can think of is Fox News viewership, which is about a million and a half people on a typical day and twice that when there's something political going on. These are the folks who likely share your aversion to the MSM and care enough about politics to watch more than just snippets of the news. The rest are either happy with the political tenor of news they get elsewhere or oblivious to it.

The Anti-Smarts are a niche market, seems to me. Maybe the MSM are content to leave them in their echo-chamber niche.

I don't watch enough of Fox

Why don't you watch more Fox? Just curious.
