I disagree. Not only that but now you've done me the disservice of trying to group me with people that think abortion is ok at any time. Just where is it that I've posted anything relating to my stance on abortion?

I suppose that since you believe that any abortion is directly akin to murder and that anyone performing such a service would be a murderer hence it would be OK in your book to bomb abortion clinics or execute doctors who perform abortions.

Pretty much all milestones in life are arbitrary.

What makes a 21 year old responsible enough to buy liquor when a 20year+364 days is not? The reason that arbitrary events are used for legal tests is that they can be used. People can objectively see that the event has occurred and therefore the legal actions have some predictability. That is why birth, defined as the cutting of the umbilical cord, is a perfect legal milestone to define when a fetus becomes a person.
