TP, the connection has been studied and verified in subsequent studies. The "connection" is just as meaningless as the "connection" between race and abortion, or race and crime rates. Actually it's not purely abortion, any decrease in unwanted children leads to the crime reduction. Then why stop at the unborn? Tenchusatsu

capital punishment also reduces crime. I'd rather fry a murderer than fry an unborn child, but then again a lot of people would rather fry an unborn child by injecting a saline solution in their brain.....

TigerPaw, Actually it's not purely abortion, any decrease in unwanted children leads to the crime reduction. Actually, abortion of wanted children results in crime reduction. A policy of no children at all guarantees a complete elimition of crime in 100 years. Joe
